Entering Yiddish via the standard keyboards
offline for most modern computers

Save and Load feature - no name can be given for the stored text,
suitable for general notes like e.g. shopping lists
- suitable for desktop PC/laptops and mobile phones/tablets
- when Offline Application Caching is supported and activated in the mobile browser,
the web application is automatically saved on the mobile phone/tablet
- consists of only one HTML file which can be saved to the desktop PC (by clicking on the link below
with the right mouse button and selecting the menu item to save the file) and used offline
- installation of a keyboard layout for Yiddish is NOT necessary
- the keyboard layout (Yankel Halpern's Phonetic Keyboard) is displayed (only) as a picture under the text field
- copying/pasting via clipboard, also to other applications, possible (the exact way for operating
the clipboard depends on the mobile phone/device)
Technical notes:
- Working browsers: Firefox, Edge, Chrome and Opera for desktop PCs, in Firefox for Android and Edge
for Windows Phone - the save and load feature only under Chrome for desktop PCs, in Firefox for
Android, Edge for Windows Phone
- For Android devices, the autosuggestion feature for keyboard input must be turned off
- Not working on Chrome for Android, and I will not fix that
- Untested on iPhone
- The red letters on the keyboard can be entered on the desktop PC
via pressing Alt and the letter for Edge, Chrome and Opera or Alt, Shift
and the letter simultaneously for Firefox.
On mobile devices, the red letters can be entered by tapping on the buttons on the right of the text field.
